‘Dear friends,
On behalf of our family, we thank you all for your support and condolences. Our family truly feels your support and that is so comforting.
Diane had the chance to express her gratitude to all of those who touched her life with friendship, support, and love and asked them to all continue keeping the community strong by helping one another.
A Memorial Service will be held on June 4, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Community Church , 4433 Bougainvillea Drive , Lauderdale-By-The-Sea , FL , 33308 .
As was her giving nature, Diane has requested that in lieu of flowers we honor her spirit of giving by lending support to her favorite local cause; the men and women of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary, Flotilla 3-2, who lend support to the defense of our shores, patrol our waterways, rescue boaters and teach boating safety. They are hard working, civic minded individuals and are funded solely through donations and boating safety classes. Send tax deductible donations to US Coast Guard Auxiliary, Flotilla 3-2, P.O. Box 460246 , Fort Lauderdale , FL 33346 . You can also call the Windjammer at 954-776-4232 for more information regarding donations and about a special memorial remembrance that has been pre-arranged.
On June 5th, at sunrise, there will also be a special Memorial service being held just off shore in front of the Windjammer by the Coast Guard and Coast Guard Auxiliary including a honorary fly-by from Coast Guard planes. They plan to do what is called a “Circle of Life” using multiple vessels and at one point one vessel will veer off showing an open circle representing her spirit leaving timed with the fly-by. We hope to be able to have everyone view that special moment on line using the Windjammer’s webcam. Diane’s wish was that her ashes be spread at Sea in front of Windjammer.
Thank you all for being a part of celebrating Diane’s life with us.
On behalf of her husband Colin Taylor, her Dad Urban Boutin, her sisters Lise and Natalie and I her brother, and our extended families,
Our sincere gratitude.
