‘In the old days, if you didn’t pay your property taxes, your home was sold on the courthouse steps. Fast forward to 2009. If you didn’t pay your taxes this year, the auction will take place in cyberspace.
This year’s sale will occur only online, May 26-27 at https://www.bidbroward.com/. The county announced the move late Monday and encouraged bidders to go online early to register, submit a deposit and establish a spending budget. Bidders can review the list of unpaid real property taxes and submit bids beginning May 5.
